New Year's Eve 2026 in El Puerto de Santa María: Where to Go
Updated:
New Year's Eve 2026 falls on a Thursday, 31 December, and New Year's Day on a Friday, so in El Puerto de Santa María you get a long weekend that starts with the biggest night of the year. This guide tells you what we know about each club, how New Year's tickets usually work and how to plan so you're not standing outside at 1am. We'll add every party here as soon as the clubs announce them; until then, anything not confirmed is marked as to be announced.
What we know so far
When we last checked the venues' own channels (11 October 2026), no club in El Puerto had published its New Year's Eve party. What we do know is each venue's usual opening days, and what that means for a Thursday night. Banana says in its bio that it opens every day, so it's the most likely to be open. La Cristalera Vistahermosa opens Thursday to Saturday, which also covers the 31st. Gold and La Cristalera normally open on Fridays and Saturdays, so the 31st would be a special opening for them, while 1 January, a Friday, falls on one of their usual days. Guateque's dates appear in the calendar on its page.
| Venue | Usual days | Thu 31 Dec | Fri 1 Jan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banana | Every day (bio) | Usual day | Usual day |
| Guateque | See calendar | To be announced: ask us on WhatsApp | To be announced: ask us on WhatsApp |
| Gold | Fri & Sat | Special opening only | Usual day |
| La Cristalera | Fri & Sat | Special opening only | Usual day |
| La Cristalera VH | Thu, Fri & Sat | Usual day | Usual day |
| Padreo | Holidays and events | To be announced: ask us on WhatsApp | To be announced: ask us on WhatsApp |
“Usual day” means the date falls within the days the venue says it opens, not that a New Year's party is confirmed. On a night like this, any venue can change its plans, so treat the table as a starting point. Party, price, line-up and opening time are pending until each venue announces them: ask us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what's confirmed.
Padreo: the one to watch
Padreo, Grupo BanBan's club on Bajada del Castillo, is temporarily closed, but the group says it opens “in holiday periods and for special events”. Christmas and New Year are exactly that kind of period. It's not confirmed: its bio still says temporarily closed and it hasn't announced anything. Last season it did post on 8 January 2026 to welcome the new year (“2026 loading…”). If Padreo opens for New Year's Eve, its tickets will appear on its page here.

How New Year's tickets usually work
On New Year's Eve, clubs normally sell a specific ticket for that night, different from a normal Saturday. What's included varies from one venue to another, so read the details before you pay: whether drinks are included, from what time you can get in, whether there's an age limit and whether the price changes as the date approaches. If you already know where you want to go, buying early is the safest move.
Tables for groups
If you're celebrating with a group, a table takes the stress out of the night. Banana and Gold both work with reservados. Message us on WhatsApp with the venue you prefer, the number of people and your budget, and we'll tell you what's available as soon as the clubs open bookings for the 31st. The sooner you ask, the more options you'll have.

- Decide where you'll ring in the year. Most people have the twelve grapes at home or at dinner and head out afterwards, so the clubs fill up after midnight.
- Buy tickets for the whole group together, and check the age limit on the ticket.
- Bring your DNI or passport: the door can ask for it.
- Plan the way home in advance and agree on a meeting point for the group.
- If the 31st sells out, 1 January is a Friday, one of the usual opening days of several venues.
- Read the small print on any New Year's ticket: what time the doors open, whether drinks are included and whether there is a separate price for entering late. Each venue sets its own conditions, and they are not the same as on a normal Saturday.
- If you want a table, ask early and tell us your budget straight away: it saves time when availability is tight.
New Year's Day and the long weekend
One advantage of the 2026 calendar: 1 January is a Friday and 2 January a Saturday. That means the New Year weekend has two more nights that fall on the usual opening days of almost every venue in town. Banana says it opens every day; Gold and La Cristalera open Fridays and Saturdays; La Cristalera Vistahermosa opens Thursday to Saturday. If the 31st is too crowded or too expensive for your group, the 1st or the 2nd can be a better night out, with the same venues and probably more room.
If you're coming from outside El Puerto, from Jerez, Cádiz or Seville, sort out where you're sleeping before you buy tickets, and plan the return trip on the 1st. The centre of El Puerto is compact and most of the clubs are within walking distance of each other, so staying nearby makes the night much simpler.
Where the night happens
With the Puerto Sherry beach clubs closed since July, the night in El Puerto is in the centre and in Vistahermosa. In the centre, Banana (Ribera del Marisco), Guateque (Plaza Juan de la Cosa), Gold (Avenida Micaela Aramburu), Padreo (Bajada del Castillo) and La Cristalera (Plaza de las Galeras Reales) are all within walking distance, which helps on a night when moving around by car is hard. In Vistahermosa, La Cristalera VH is the option. For more on each venue, see our full guide to clubs in El Puerto.
