How to Get to La Cristalera
La Cristalera is on Pl. de las Galeras Reales, s/n, on the riverfront in the centre of El Puerto. It's an easy walk from the old town and from Ribera del Marisco, where Banana is.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
La Cristalera doesn't publish a dress code or a minimum age. Bring ID; the door has the last word on admission.
Where BanBan began
Grupo BanBan, which today runs Guateque, Padreo and, before the 2026 closures, PhiPhi and Playa Canalla, started here. Its timeline opens with La Cristalera in 2013 and the group calls it “our first venue”. It sits on Plaza de las Galeras Reales, by the Plaza de las Galeras, with a large terrace over the Guadalete. It's not a classic nightclub: it's a pub with a DJ and a dance floor atmosphere, which is why we list it as a pub-club. The group itself describes it as a reference for tardeo and nights out in El Puerto. The terrace over the Guadalete is part of the appeal; the bio even uses the hashtag #bytheriverguadalete. If big clubs aren't your thing, a pub-club like this is a good middle ground: music and atmosphere, without the ceremony of a nightclub door.
Concerts are back
On 29 September 2026 La Cristalera posted: “You asked for it. We were preparing it”, announcing that concerts are coming back. On 7 October it confirmed it again. So this autumn there's live music on the river again. Band names and dates come out on its Instagram, so ask us on WhatsApp if you want to know what's on the weekend you're going. On regular nights the soundtrack is DJ-led, with the river terrace doing a lot of the work. Live music changes the rhythm of the night: a concert brings people in earlier, so arrive before the band starts if you want a good spot. Follow its Instagram for the line-up; when a concert needs a ticket, it says so there.
Opening days by season
In winter La Cristalera opens on Fridays and Saturdays; its bio says so in capital letters. In summer it changes completely: through July 2026 it was posting “we open every day”.
