How to Get to Guateque
Guateque is at Pl. Juan de la Cosa, 2, in the old centre of El Puerto, close to the Castillo de San Marcos. From anywhere in the centre you can walk. Banana, Padreo and Gold are a short walk away, which is handy if your group splits up later in the night. Have your QR ready at the door. Many people search for it as “Wateke”: it's the same place.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
Guateque doesn't publish a dress code. Third-party guides say the door expects a smart look and that the minimum age is 18 or 20 depending on the party. Each ticket states the limit for that night. Bring your DNI or passport; the door has the last word.
Grupo BanBan's first club
Grupo BanBan started in 2013 with La Cristalera, a pub on the Guadalete, and Guateque came next: its timeline lists it in 2015 and again in 2023. On its own website the group calls it “our first CLUB!”, and describes it as a place with a playful design and phrases painted on the walls. Today it's at Plaza Juan de la Cosa, 2, in the old town. On Instagram it goes by @guatequecopas, signs off with #lavidaesunguateque and points straight to its ticket page. Posts in September and October 2026 came twice a week, a good sign that it keeps going after the summer. It also has a Facebook page under the same name. The music
BanBan sums Guateque up in one line: urban music dominates, with concerts and special sessions from time to time. In practice that means reggaeton and urban hits for most of the night, and certain dates built around a live show or a guest. The posts don't give a fixed weekly schedule, so the reliable way to know what's on is the events calendar on this page, which pulls from the club's own ticketing. If you're after electronic music or a more grown-up room, Gold or La Cristalera might suit you better. If you want the busiest urban floor in the centre, this is it. When a concert or a special session is announced, it appears in the calendar with its own ticket, so you'll know what you're paying for before you go. If the night you want isn't listed yet, check back closer to the date.
Tickets, age and entry
Guateque sells its tickets online and you can buy them here, in the calendar. Third-party guides quote advance tickets “from €10 with one drink”, but that figure isn't from the club and prices change with the party, so treat it as a rough guide only (consulted 11/10/2026). The same guides put the minimum age at 18 or 20 depending on the night, and say the door expects a smart look. Bring your DNI or passport. If you're coming as a group, buy all the tickets together so nobody gets left outside when a night sells out. Tickets bought here arrive by email with a QR code. Have it open on your phone and your ID in your hand and the door goes much faster for everyone.
Groups and birthdays
Guides that list the club say it doesn't take bottle bookings at the moment, and we'd rather tell you that than sell you something that isn't there. For a birthday or a big group, message us on WhatsApp with the date and the number of people. We'll tell you what can be done that night at Guateque, or which other club in the centre fits better if you specifically need a table. Banana, for instance, does take reservados and is a short walk away. If all you want is a good night with your group on the urban floor, tickets bought together are enough, no table needed.
