Celebrating a Birthday at a Club in El Puerto de Santa María
Updated:
In El Puerto de Santa María, the clubs that publish table bookings for groups are Banana and Gold; for the two Cristaleras, message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what's available that night. Checked on 11 October 2026. Below: which venue suits which kind of birthday, which night to pick, what to say when you book, and the one thing that ruins most group nights out.
Which clubs take table bookings
| Venue | Tables | How to ask | Days (autumn 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banana | Yes (published by the club) | WhatsApp with us | Every day |
| Gold | Yes, VIP reservados | WhatsApp with us | Fri and Sat |
| La Cristalera | Table on request | WhatsApp with us | Fri and Sat |
| La Cristalera VH | Table on request | WhatsApp with us | Thu to Sat |
| Guateque | No bottle service, per a third-party guide | Tickets on its page | See its calendar |
| Padreo | Closed until its season | — | — |
Banana says on its website and Instagram that it takes reservados, and Gold's Instagram offers VIP reservados by private message. The two Cristaleras are pub-clubs, not nightclubs: for a birthday you can get a table or a spot on the list for your group through us. For Guateque, a third-party guide says “for now we don't offer bottle reservations”, so we don't promise a table there; you can still celebrate with tickets for the whole group. Padreo is closed until its season.

Which venue for which birthday
- A proper club night with a table: Banana or Gold. Banana opens every day, so the birthday doesn't have to fall on a weekend.
- A mixed group, or people who'd rather talk than shout: La Cristalera, with its terrace over the Guadalete, or La Cristalera Vistahermosa. Both open in the afternoon, so the party can start early.
- A group into urban music that just wants to dance: Guateque, with tickets for everyone.
- Latin music: Gold had a salsa, bachata and kizomba session on its first Friday of the autumn, followed by a DJ.
Which night to choose
Outside the summer, El Puerto is a weekend town. If the birthday falls from Sunday to Wednesday, Banana is the only club that says it opens. On Thursday you also have La Cristalera Vistahermosa. Friday and Saturday give you every option except Padreo, but they're also the nights that fill up first, especially Friday at Banana, which is El Eskakeo night. For a big group, a Thursday or a quieter night can make it much easier to get the table you want.

For a normal weekend, a few days ahead is usually enough. For a summer Saturday, Halloween or New Year's Eve, ask as early as you can. When you message us, put everything in the first message and you'll get an answer much faster:
- The date, and a second option if you have one.
- How many of you there are, roughly how many men and women, and whether anyone is under 18.
- The venue you prefer, or the kind of night you want, if you don't mind which.
- Your budget for the table. There's no fixed price: it depends on the night and the season, so a figure helps us look for the right thing.
- That it's a birthday, and whose.
The thing that ruins group nights: the door
If you read the Google reviews of the clubs in El Puerto, the most repeated topic is the door. Several recent reviews, at Banana and at Gold among others, come from large groups who were turned away or split up at the entrance, some of them on a hen night. We can't promise how a door will act on a given night, but we can tell you what reduces the risk: book a table rather than turning up as fifteen people with tickets, say in advance how many you are and that it's a celebration, arrive together and early, and make sure everyone is dressed for a night out and has ID. A group that the venue is expecting is a very different thing from a group that shows up unannounced.
A table at a club or renting a venue?
Plenty of people search for a venue to rent for a birthday in El Puerto. It's a different plan. Renting a space gives you privacy, your own music and your own timetable, but you deal with the drinks, the cleaning and the permits, and it rarely ends at six in the morning. A table at a club gives you a night that's already set up: music, bar, security and the rest of the club around you, and you only take care of the group. If the idea is to go out dancing, a table is simpler. If the idea is a private party with family or a long dinner, a rented space or a restaurant fits better, and we don't manage those.
If someone in the group is under 18
Tell us before anything else. Under Andalusian rules, nightclubs are closed to under-16s, and each venue can raise the limit to 18. The only ages published for clubs in El Puerto, in third-party guides, are 18 or higher depending on the party. The minimum age is shown on each ticket, so we'll check it for the night you choose before you pay anything.

- Which club in El Puerto has table bookings?
- Banana and Gold publish that they take reservados. For the two Cristaleras, we can arrange a table or the list on WhatsApp.
- How much does a table cost?
- There's no fixed price: it changes with the night, the venue and the season. Send us the date, the group and your budget and we'll tell you what's available.
- How far ahead should I book?
- A few days for a normal weekend; much earlier for big dates such as summer Saturdays, Halloween or New Year's Eve.
- Can I celebrate at Guateque?
- Yes, with tickets for the group. A third-party guide says it doesn't offer bottle reservations for now, so we don't promise a table there.
- Do we need to warn the venue if we're a big group?
- Yes. Recent Google reviews of several clubs come from large groups left outside; letting the venue know in advance avoids surprises.
