Padreo El Puerto: When It Opens and What It's Like
Updated:
Short answer first: no, Padreo isn't open right now. Its Instagram bio says “CERRADO TEMPORALMENTE” (temporarily closed), and the last post of the season is from 11 August 2026. That's not bad news, it's how this club works. Padreo is built to open when El Puerto is at its busiest, and this post explains when that is and what to expect when it comes back.
When Padreo opens
Grupo BanBan, which runs it, puts it plainly: Padreo opens “in holiday periods and for special events”, with very concentrated schedules. Its own posts show the pattern. In 2026 the season started on 30 June, with a post announcing “new nights, new memories and the same urge to dance until the sun comes up”, and on 3 July another one said a new season had begun. The posts carried on through July and stopped in mid-August. In 2025 the summer ended a little later: “last week” on 26 August and a goodbye on 1 September.
Outside summer, the “holiday periods and special events” part is what matters. There was a post on 8 January 2026 (“2026 loading…”), but no dates have been announced for this autumn or for Christmas. We'll update this guide and the club's page when there's something confirmed. Until then, assume that Padreo is a July and August plan.
What it's like
Padreo opened in 2023 and is the most recent of BanBan's clubs; the group calls it “our latest CLUB!”. It describes it as a high-energy room with the best-known DJs on the Spanish scene. The club's own tagline is “Not a typical club”, and its posts move in the same direction: nights out with friends, “the place to be”, and the idea that some nights deserve to be repeated. It's in the old town, on C. Bajada del Castillo, 1, next to the Castillo de San Marcos according to third-party guides.

The door, age and price
There's no dress code published. Third-party guides speak of a smart look and give a minimum age of 18 or 23 depending on the event, so read the ticket carefully before buying for a mixed-age group. The same guides quote tickets from €10 with a drink, which we pass on only as a rough reference (consulted 11/10/2026): with concentrated summer dates, the real price is the one on the ticket for that night. They also say there are no VIP bookings at the moment.

Where to go while it's closed
If you came looking for Padreo this weekend, the centre still has options a few minutes' walk away. Guateque, from the same group, is open and posting weekly, with mostly urban music. Banana on Ribera del Marisco says in its bio that it opens every day, and its Friday party, El Eskakeo, started on 25 September. Gold opens on Fridays and Saturdays on Avenida Micaela Aramburu. And La Cristalera, by the Guadalete, opens on Fridays and Saturdays and has just brought its concerts back.

Padreo sells its tickets online, and when dates are published they show up in the calendar on its page here. Because it only opens on concentrated dates, those nights tend to be the busiest of the summer, so buy as soon as the date you want appears. If the calendar is empty, there's nothing on sale yet. Follow its Instagram from late spring: in 2026 the season-opening post went up on 30 June.
