What a Night at Banana Is Like: the Club on Ribera del Marisco
Updated:
This is a guide to what a night at Banana is like: the vibe, the music, the nights it pushes hardest, the door and who's behind it. If you already know you want to go, tickets, the calendar and table bookings are on the Banana El Puerto de Santa MarĂa page, linked right below. Everything here comes from what Banana publishes about itself, so you know what you're walking into before you get there.
Banana El Puerto de Santa MarĂa: tickets, calendar and tables →What Banana is like
On its website Banana calls itself “your favourite club in the centre of El Puerto de Santa MarĂa” and invites you to “live an exotic experience”. On Instagram, where it has over 19,000 followers, it presents itself as “The Night Club”. It's a nightclub in the full sense, with tickets, reservados and a weekly programme, at C. Ribera del Marisco, 13. Its website has a photo gallery, the drinks menu and a reservations page, and there's an English version too.
Who owns Banana: Grupo Banana, not Grupo BanBan
This comes up constantly, so let's settle it. Banana belongs to Grupo Banana: that's the name in its website footer, and the company behind it is Cayetanos del Puerto S.L., according to its legal notice. Grupo BanBan is a different company, the one that runs Guateque, Padreo and La Cristalera. BanBan publishes the full list of its venues, and Banana isn't on it. The names sound alike, and both groups are from El Puerto, which explains the confusion you'll see in many listings.
A club that opens any night
Banana's Instagram bio says “Open every day”, and its activity backs it up. While most of El Puerto slows down after the summer, Banana kept posting: “September is for the brave” on 4 September, a new party on 22 September, “See you today” on 9 October. That shapes the feel of the place: outside the summer it's the club in the centre that claims to be open on a weeknight too, not only at the weekend. The calendar and opening time of each night are on its page.

Fridays: El Eskakeo
The big news of the autumn is El Eskakeo, Banana's new Friday party. It was teased on 22 September (“Do you know our new party yet?”), opened on Friday 25 September with a “new opening” post, and has been promoted every week since, always with tickets sold online. If you're choosing one night at Banana, Friday is the one the club is pushing hardest right now, so buy your ticket in advance rather than at the door.
Summer at Banana
Summer is when Banana's programme gets busiest. In 2026 Fridays had a Latin flavour, with guests like Lennis RodrĂguez in July and Henry MĂ©ndez in August. Weeknights had names of their own: Electrolatino on Mondays, which the club said were “always a yes” in summer, and Remembow on Wednesdays. The summer programme changes from year to year, but it gives you the idea: in July and August, Banana isn't just a weekend plan.
Age, dress code and the door
Banana doesn't publish a dress code or a minimum age on its website. In practice that means dressing for a night out and bringing your DNI or passport: the door decides. If a particular party sets an age limit, it's stated on the ticket for that night, so read it before you pay. On busy nights, such as a Friday with El Eskakeo or a summer Saturday, buying in advance is the simplest way to avoid the queue.
Tickets and reservados
Banana sells tickets online, and the price changes with the party and the date: you see it in the events calendar on its page before you pay, and the QR arrives by email. Drinks prices are on the menu on its own website. For groups, Banana works with reservados. Message us on WhatsApp with the date, the number of people and your budget and we'll tell you what's available. We don't publish fixed table prices because they change with the night and the season.

Groups and birthdays
Banana is the centre's most obvious choice for a group night, for two reasons: it opens every day, so you're not tied to a weekend, and it works with reservados. When you message us, tell us the date, how many of you there are, whether it's a birthday and roughly what you want to spend. We'll check what's free and confirm the details before you go. For big groups on a Friday with El Eskakeo or on a summer Saturday, give us a few days' notice.
Banana compared with the rest of the centre
If you're deciding between clubs in the centre, this is how they differ according to what each one publishes. Guateque, from Grupo BanBan, is the urban room, with reggaeton and concerts. Gold opens on Fridays and Saturdays and mixes a Latin session with DJs. La Cristalera is a pub-club on the river rather than a nightclub. Banana is the one that opens every day and right now the one with a named weekly party, El Eskakeo on Fridays.
How to get there
Banana is at C. Ribera del Marisco, 13, 11500 El Puerto de Santa MarĂa. If you're in the centre, you can walk there. Coming from Valdelagrana, Vistahermosa or nearby towns like Jerez on a busy night, a taxi saves you looking for parking. Other clubs in the centre are within walking distance: Guateque on Plaza Juan de la Cosa, Gold on Avenida Micaela Aramburu and La Cristalera by the Guadalete, which makes Banana easy to combine with a first drink somewhere else.
